From US 49, turn onto Southgate Road. Nearby markers include Dru’s Inn and Exxon.
Continue to Camp Shelby’s South Gate entrance and follow procedures for visitors.
Once inside Camp Shelby:
Turn right onto 6th St.
Turn left onto Forrest Ave. W.
The Museum will be ahead on the left
How do I gain entry to Camp Shelby?
Upon arriving at Camp Shelby’s South Gate, all visitors over the age of 16 with no military ID will be asked to register at Camp Shelby’s Visitors Center. One of the following forms of identification will need to be presented: Driver’s License, Identification Card, Passport, or Veterans’ Health Identification Card.
Remember, all persons operating a motor vehicle on Camp Shelby are required to have a valid Driver’s License and may be asked to show proof of vehicle insurance and vehicle registration.
Privately-owned firearms are not permitted on post.
What if I have a military ID?
Great! You can present your valid military ID (CAC, retiree ID, dependent ID) at the gate and gain access without visiting the Visitors Center first.
Where is the Visitors Center located?
The Visitors Center is located on South Gate Road, just to the right of the South Gate.
