Miriam Hagan Collier (1916-1997), of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was a civilian employee at Camp Shelby during World War II. She worked at Quartermaster Laundries on post as a seamstress and clerk from 1941 to 1946. Collier made this cape and decorated the garment with various military insignia patches that she collected while working at Camp Shelby.
